About Kāpiti Parents Centre

Children don’t come with instruction manuals. So we’ve been offering parents support, education and a tight knit community to help them with from everything from pregnancy and childbirth right through to different aspects of raising infants and toddlers.

As a not-for-profit organisation we’ve been supporting families all over the Kāpiti Coast for many years and are part of a nationwide organisation that values the role that parents play in our community.

Our core services include but are not limited to:

  • Childbirth Education
  • Little Wigglers Music classes for babies and toddlers
  • Parent Education Classes including Baby and You Classes

We are a group of committed parents interested in helping other parents. Volunteers are always needed, so if you are keen in helping out in some aspect of our work please get in touch.

Kāpiti Parents Centre has linked up with our local LOVED4LIFE™ Chapter through St Paul’s Anglican Church & the Paraparaumu Community to help welcome new babies into the community.

LOVED4LIFE™ is a not-for-profit organisation initiated in Te Horo by Marcia Guest, with the vision of reaching out to families in the local community.  There are now 16 LOVED4LIFE™chapters in the North Island.

  1. We create and sew a quilt for each new baby born into our community.
  2. We prepare a homemade meal or baking to take to the family after the baby is born.
  3. We knit pure wool garments for our babies.

Our team lovingly sew a special ‘LOVED’ quilt for each new baby that is born into the community, which we then deliver as a gift to the family.  Each quilt bears our ‘LOVED’ appliqué and displays the official LOVED4LIFE™ member label on the back.
